The Remote Community Connectors program helps to bridge the gap between the NDIS and remote Aboriginal communities. This is achieved by funding ACCHOs to employ trusted local individuals who understand community needs and help them to navigate the NDIS. 

The program helps to:

  • Raise awareness and understanding of the NDIS within our remote communities.
  • Identify potential NDIS participants who might benefit from NDIS support.
  • Assist individuals and their families in navigating the NDIS eligibility and access processes.
  • Support community members to complete NDIS plans and access necessary services.

This program is an initiative under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
